Greetings. The Devilsown progressive alcohol kit has tickled my fancy and I plan on a purchase soon. I hate to bother ya'll with questions, but as my car is a bit atypical to what the kit usually goes on, I would like some feedback on a few things to be put on the right track. I'll try my best to explain things. Here goes:
Car- '74 vw beetle
Engine- Mild 1915cc with a small t04 drawing through a 575cfm Barry Grant Demon vacuum sec. carb. It currently revs to about 6200 and is at 8psi on 93. When I say draw through, I am referring to the fact that the carb is placed before the turbo compressor and the air/fuel mix goes through the comp. Here is a description of the setup:
Carb- intake-compressor-intake which tees off to end castings- heads.
Now for the questions:
1. Which would I be better off with? A single m3 nozzle on the intake directly after the comp. outlet, or, dual m2 nozzles on the intake AFTER it tees off to the heads? Am I correct in assuming that the single m3 would be better as it is closer to the compressor outlet? I suppose that I do'nt need to worry about each cylinder bank getting a different volume of meth if the psi is adequate.
2. Is the
check valve capable of handling the vacuum of the draw-through setup as it is essentially the same as a n/a engine off boost?
3. I take it that I'll be ordering a 2 bar map sensor when I get the kit. Where is a better place to reference boost to the sensor: From the (post comp)intake to the boost controller(hallman mbc)? Or, from the mbc to the wastegate(jgs 40mm external)? Does it matter? Currently, a small hose goes to each of these locations. I take it I would tee it off to the sensor?
4. The instructions state that the grey wire to the sensor is used for cars without a factory map. Where does this go? To the controller? I'm not very bright when it comes to electrical matters

.
5. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide the dimensions of the 2 and 4 qt tanks for fitment reasons.
Everyone's time is appreciated. I will be happy to answer any further questions if more elaboration is needed. Let me know if you foresee any additional problems. Unfortunetly, I wo'nt be able to test the kit out until about March or so(draw-through setups do'nt take kindly to cold weather), but I would like to get the kit installed now and everything squared away and ready. I am hoping for 12-14 psi on pump injecting straight methanol

. I will be tuning the afr using a lm1. Thanks again.
