I had the same problem, easy fix...
there seems to be a "jolt" of current flying allover when you are starting your car... that split second while staring it up all sensors go haywire...
you can do the same thing i did and install a on/off switch inside the cabin that intercepts current from the battery going to the pump... easy right...
one thing to remember... while daily driving switch to racing... give the pump a few seconds to build up pressure up to the solenoid...
p.s. i don't have a devils own kit... but i just came about this by searching for a better controller for the alcohol kit i have...
