Methanol will only corrode aluminum if it is soak in it as in setting a piece of it in a bucket of methanol. The fine mist along with the massive flow of air pretty much takes care of anything in the system. Methanol boils at about 147 degrees which your internals will soon reach after a little heat soak of daily driving when the car is parked. We have never had a case of rust or corrosion in a IC. I have had the IC of my T-bird supercoupe in which I spray pre-blower and pre-IC with no signs of any change in the metal,
