Hey folks,
I have put together a piece meal methanol injection kit, using Devils own
Progressive Controller, a snows 150 psi pump I got used and a plastic fuel cell for the methanol supply. I still need to pick up the remaining small parts, which brings me to my questions. I will run the std plastic fittings and a rubber hose from the pump to the container (mounted in the trunk). The supply line will be run along the frame the entire length of the car to the intake tube. Because it is so long (at least 12 feet) and under the car I would like to run a length of -04 AN teflon lined braded stainless steel hose.
I will need a fitting on the hose to attach it to the feed side of the pump and I will need the fitting to attach an injection nozzle to the intake tube. For these fittings I am having a hard time locating anything but plain brass, mostly the fittings that are common are aluminum. Will using solid brass on the pressure side of the pump be acceptable? Does anyone have knowledge of where I can get nickel plated brass fittings that would work with the Aeroquip braded SS hose? Any other suggestions for a different type of plumbing that would work better than the braded SS hose and brass connections I have mentioned? Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.....
Finally I am running a supercharged (9-12 pounds of boost) 4.6 mod motor dyno'ed at 465 RWHP, what size nozzle would be a good starting point? Thankx in advance to all, for the advice and guidance I am sure to receive.
regards,
Mike
