Unless the lines are directly sitting on a exaust manifold they will have no issues. Inside braided stainless steel lines is a nylon tube or teflon lined with a nylone tube, it is not metal. So what I use is the stainless steel line covering in my vehicle because of how it is routed in the engine. It looks just like the stainless lines after your done and it cost about 1/10 th the price. Mcmaster carr carries it as well as a few other places.

Or you can go with this Bentley Harris Convoshield Chrome Corrugated tubing

You got to remember the hose we sell has a higher heat tolerance and strenth than any hose in your vehicle. It will outlast the car and any other vac line, belt, radiator hose ect. If your worried about heat areas use the covershield. If you can burn through that than you got it laying on a header.

But everyone likes it there own way, There are other and much cheaper places to get the same line as alkycontrol uses. You just have shop around there are many local places that can do you custom lengths for less than $5 a foot with the fittings. The an style fittins can be gotten on mcmaster carr for under $2 bucks each. all the fitting they use can be gotten on there.
