The best and quickest way to see if it is the controller itself is to disconnect the green from the map, Tap the grey to the green (nozzle hose disconnected) this will cause the pump to run on full and all lights will light up.
Once more thing I can think of did you prime the system before you installed the
check valve. If you don't it will never clear the air out of the pumps head and will not spray. Once you have flow from the out side of the pump then it's good to go.
