So I have been seriously considering getting a friends Hilux Surf (4runner with 3.0L 1KZ-TE) when she leaves. Always wanted a diesel, and something bigger than what I have. It’s a 93 or so, and I am sure that is has a lot of soot build-up from 15 years of driving. My question is this. Will the methanol/ethanol/water break stuff up and cause problems in the combustion chamber?
