Default WI as a cleaner?

Hi guys,

First, thanks for the great site! I think it really speaks well of a company when they have a forum where employees chip in regularly.

Second, I've decided that I'm going to get a DO system but I have a few questions about my application as it is a little different than most on here.

I have a Toyota truck that I swapped a 92 JDM turbo diesel engine into and have converted into a 2 tank straight vegetable oil system. It's a 2.4 litre (toyota engine code 2l-tII) that is very common in the rest of world but pretty uncommon here in the states. I see that dvldoc is in the Philippines and probably sees rigs with this engine many times a day. Anyway, I want to add water injection to limit the build-up of carbon due to burning veggie oil on the piston heads and valves and am less concerned about any power gains or EGT changes (although it does seem to run pretty hot, non-intercooled).

- What nozzle size should I be using? I'm thinking 3 gph?
- I know I should mount post-turbo and the best location is in the pipe that crosses over the rocker cover. However, it's very thin, 1/8th inch or less, and aluminum. Will I be able to mount the nozzle in this pipe without air leakage issues under boost? The other option is in the intake elbow after the crossover pipe (also aluminum but thicker) but I would like to have all of the water in the gas phase before it sees the chamber to avoid any pitting. The spray would travel about 7 inches, is this enough distance to vaporize it?
- As I am less concerned with power gains and interested in the "steam cleaning" I would like to limit the amount of methanol in the systems, just enough I keep from freezing in the winter (gets down to about -20F), what mix would you recommend?
- What is the difference between the diesel universal kit and the regular universal kit? Different nozzles? I would like the smaller pressure switch because my turbo only boosts to 10 psi max but it's only available on non-diesel kit.

Whew... I think I'm done, thanks for the help and for putting out a great product.
