I remember reading that thread a while ago and it sounds pretty simple mod. Looking at the pictures I don't understand how the control arm doesn't fall into the chamber when you pull out the pushrod and then prevent you from putting it back in after you turn it? Does the control arm only move when the pump is working?
Anyway, I want to do this but I kind of want to get my timing issues sorted first. I did grind on the manifold but it seemed like I could only go enough to maybe get to the line, let alone advance it and that would be pushing it (maybe putting a hole in the intake). Maybe we have different intakes. Anyway, I think I'll just advance it by jumping a gear tooth under the cover and then doing some calculations to correlate the radius correctly and get a new line I can go off of.
Snow in the mountains here keeps distracting me, nearly ski bumming time again. Must...focus...on....finals. Doh!!!!
