Yeah I've always done my timing by the seat of the pants as well but I can tell the pump is retarded just from the way she drives, smoke on the gear changes, high EGT's, doggish at low rpms, etc. I wonder if I could just get a different intake as I'm sure that the belt's in the right spot under the cover? Maybe I have a different boost compensator w/ slightly different dimensions? Anyway, I'll figure it out one way or another...
