Yep, that's it. Would the position of the nozzle just before the bend help to direct the spray into the center of the airstream?

In other words, with the nozzle aiming the spray towards the other wall and the airflow going past, combine to give a direction of spray that would be oriented in the direction of the bend in the conduit? And would this be desirable?
