My ignition box is equipped to be wired directly to that MAP sensor, it has its own 5V source and all, uses the MAP for boost retard (user adjustable of course).

Can I simply tap off the MAP signal in the car and run the wire to the controller - or does the controller really need to have the ground hooked up, etc., for it to work properly?
