The nozzle can go either location, If you want your ECM to actually see the temp drop and add timing put the nozzle before the IAT sensor if you have a means to adjust your timing you can put it after. Either location works fine.
The nozzle head and the bonded neoprene washer hold against the inside of the pipe and the nozzle holder on the outside of the pipe sandwich the two together.
