Many People mount the tank and pump in the trunk, I have done that on all my cars simply because its a lot easier and it keeps the pump away from the elements. And I run a large tank in the trunk so I only fill up about 1 time a month. You would just need extra hose to do the install.

Make sure you put at least a vent hole in the top of your tank.
