Default Re: staging in two nozzles

Phil, thanks for the reply. The Megasquirt was chosen because it does not require a MAF or MAP sensor to run the engine. I understand that I can add a MAP sensor to give a signal to the progressive W/A INJECTION system, but the previous reply said that the progressive system can be triggered off the "stock" pressure switch. If this response was referring to an output from the stock ECU which also assumes the MAF sensor is in place, then I don't think my post was read carefully before responding.

I'm still trying to figure out how DVLDOC stated that the progressive system can be run off the stock boost pressure switch.

Don't get me wrong, I would rather have the progressive system, and I'm not opposed to it, but thought this was not an option originally because I was not willing to spend the dough for a stock MAF sensor from subaru just to run a premium W/A injection system.

I see the MAP sensor listed here on the sit is only $65.00 That is within my budget.

Pardon my ignorance, please. The MAP sensor is just a pressure transducer converting a pressure signal to a variable voltage correct?

My last question is this: How does the MAP sensor get mounted? I am assuming it is simply fitted to the intake manifold. This is different from a MAF, where the air flow actually goes through the unit correct?

Thanks for any replies.
