We do have people that run both together, I use to run a 125shot with 100% methanol and had good gains and no knock with it.

I would not suggest direct port with the alcohol injection for this because you want more time for it to atomize with the air stream before it hits the combustion chambers for max cooling and mixing with the air stream.
