Is there any safe/common way to test your alchy pump before putting it in?

And possibly the controller, just to see if it powers on and check what bar the controller is set to?

I bought a used alchy kit that apparently had a 2 bar Progressive Controller and was made by Devilsown. Guy said he only used it a couple weeks.

It got here, and I find out the kit is more of a mixing of parts... It has a a Devilsown 3 bar Progressive Controller + wiring, most of Devilsown fittings + lines + nozzles it looks like to me, and a enginerunup.com alcohol pump.

So to say the least, I'm not sure how to feel about this. I was told it was a pure Devilsown kit. I guess the pump won't be as big of a deal as long as the controller is good, but I was wondering if there is any way to test them... Controller looks new, pump looks like it was used for more then a couple weeks IMO.

Let me know if you can help me out. I'd like to know if this stuff works before spending the time to install it all.
