Pump pressure is a BIGGIE. Me for example. I run a Nic cam, heads, togs etc. I also have a 2.75 as a daily driver. I was getting SEVERE stutter with even the stock 60lbs. I moved it to 50 and that is magic for me. Now most people have to max the pump (unless you bypass the pressure valve) to get desired results.
Another GREAT reason to install the kit as I wrote is that you can remove the driver side hood stop and right there is the pressure screw. Makes for easy pump adjustments.
Here is what to be on the look for. Drive the car with no alcohol scan for KR. Now, drive with the alcohol at the stock 60lbs setting and re-scan. If you get stutter and MORE kr on the top and mid end you have too much pressure.
If your KR drops slightly but, you still have KR then you need to increase the pump a half a turn at a time. The key to tuning is SMALL, VERY SMALL adjustments at a time.
Now, you want to set the activation dial (left) to 1 to 2 psi before you see KR. so if you get KR at 6lbs of boost set it for 4 etc etc. Now. Full should be right about 2psi BEFORE your max KR. You will NEVER get alcohol right out of the box. It just will not happen. If you are looking for a turn key solution Intercooling is the choice. BUT if you want to make Globs of power, never have to buy race fuel again and ensure that you will never have carbon build up again in your motor this is the price you pay.
Take care,
