Firstly I apologise for starting a 'thread within a thread'. The Rover is an old-fashioned design using a non-computerised Bosch VE pump (as was used in some Dodge trucks in the states). Does not rev high at all about 3500 is max useful rpm. Max boost is 15psi (1.05bar). I have an EGT computer with a switchable programmable output, for an alarm at the moment. I have been thinking of using, say, 500c to switch water injection - it will go to 725c before the alarm goes off. This high temp is only reached on long, steepish hills. Or, if I switched it by boost, what pressure would you recommend? Also, it is a long way from the turbo to the intercooler and from there to the engine. Where should the injector go? For if I accelerate and the pump switches at, say, .9bar, then by the time the water hits the cylinders I will have backed off to change gear...
