Is the 90 deg 1/8 M Ntp Fitting described as the 'tank tap fitting' ?
q2. re 4. alcohol/watter Nozzle Installation
The nozzles supplied are fitted with a green O ring on nozzle side, leaving very short thread for attachment to the manifold. Should this O ring be removed in favor of the 1/8" metal bonded washer? or should I ignore the metal bonded washer use for this nozzle?
q3. The kit is assuming vacuum, which seems to be the opposite to the turbo pressure that I will be using with the pressure switch. Your earlier emails, prior to this purchase, advised me to substitute turbo boost for vacuum when reading your published material. Is this the case as far as the installation on my Turbo diesel intercooled motor? |
The 90 degree 1/8 npt fitting is the tank tape.
The nozzle can be mounted on the inside of the pipe in which that end with the o-ring is on the inside of the pipe and you push the other end with the filter through the hole.
If your are screwing the nozzle in from the outside into a hole that has a 1/8npt thread then that is all the thread you will need for a secure fit.
The vacuum part is on the direction because gas vehicles it's the same line. diesels do not make vacuum so it will be whatever line that has boost like the one from the turbo to the wastegate or any hose that is connected to the intake.
Here it is on the older style nozzles. The only difference is the hex is in a different location.
