Default Re: Iats What should they be at WOT

I am not sure that this iat relocation will work with the LS2 we have in the Trailblazer SS.

I am looking into this further , Thanks .

One other question. If he is not seeing the iat's dropping on his dashawk scan tool, how would he know if he is running the correct amount of meth and water mix ? He did go up one size larger nozzle than you had recommended initially when he saw the timing being pulled.

I looked at my buddies data logs at 0-120 mph @WOT and I know he put in 24.9 degrees of timing and the SS was running great. The temps outside have gone up from 65 to 70 degrees to 80 to 90 degrees and now we are only seeing 20 degrees of timing at WOT. I guess with the iats going up since the outside air temps are rising it will automatically start to pull timing ,correct...that is why we are only seeing 20 or 21 degrees at WOT.

You can however still relocate the IAT with the following modification. You will have to extend the harness to get it after the alcohol injection nozzle for it to work. You can skip the step of modifiying the stock IAT sensor sence the Alcohol injection will do the temp drop for you.

IAT's should be around the ambient air temp or lower with the alcohol injection, I could sometimes see 70F on a 100 degree day.
