Default More problems... pushlock fittings leaking.

I must be the most unlucky guy in the world!

So I decided to do a spark plug change on my car. Removed the charge piping etc.... Figured as long as I had the piping off I'd go ahead and check the nozzle spray pattern to make sure nothing is clogging the nozzles etc...

To my suprise when I used my mighty vac and applied pressure to my map sensor the pump came on and I was immediatly sprayed in the face with a healthy dose of methanol!

I've used push lock fittings before and I do think they are the greatest design in the world... when they work. This is the first incident I've seen where they leak.

The check valve that is attached to the spray nozzle on my kit is leaking right out of the push lock fitting. I tried removing the hose and replacing it. Nipping a small amount of the old hose off and reinstalling it again. The hose is very tight in the fitting and will not pull out. But once pressure is applied it sprays meth out the back of the pushlock fitting.

I'll be happy to supply video of this. And I'm sure the guys at devils own will stand by there product and send me a new check valve. I wanted to upgrade to a dual nozzle kit anyway.

So just a word to the wise. Check all your connections every few months. This could have resulted in engine damage and or a fire if I had not caught it.
