DSM 50 trim nozzle size?

Looking to run DO brew on my 2.0 50 trim talon. Car is professionally tuned to 22psi without w/i and pulled 386hp on a mustang dyno. two q's:

1) Nozzle size - calculator says 7gph but I have seen people running both the 7 and a 5 with 50 trims on other websites..... I know alot has to do with what mix they are injecting... once again I will be using DO brew exclusively. So is the 7gph enough??

2) If I understand correctly adding the w/i will allow a leaner tune than what the car already has.... but will just adding do brew w/i make the car run lean if I don't get it re-tuned right away?

Re: DSM 50 trim nozzle size?

I too am running a 50trim BB turbo, but I'm running it on a 1.6l engine with a hotpipe setup. I am only going to be running water as I have plenty of fuel injector left. I am just using it for cooling purposes, since I don't have an intercooler. I have an M7 nozzle and a M3 nozzle, is the M7 enough?

Re: DSM 50 trim nozzle size?

Every engine will be different. The calculator is just a starting point. I have an evo III cheapo ebay turbo 272 cams and use a 7gpm nozzle. (250psi pump 100% meth) Some get better results with 10gpm some better with 5gpm. Gotta check your peak power output on the dyno to know for sure. Usually guys running 50% meth (devils brew) use a smaller nozzle. You use less volume of fluid (smaller nozzle) the more water you inject.
