Ford Focus ST225 2.5T (Volvo S60R motor)

hi guys,

my bro has ordered the Devil's Own Stage 2 kit for his ST due to the fact that my kit has produced some awesome results.

what i am looking for is an installation guide for his vehicle?
i believe the US don't have the ST225's... so now i'm in hope someone can point me in the right direction with regards to my request?

much appreciated.

thanx,
FR

Asbos are great cars, especially with the volvo t5 5pot engine giving it large, much better than the black top 4cyl duratec wish they were available here.

What do you mean by a installation guide??? You can find here how the guys and gals have hooked up the D own kits to various cars, even though its not an asbo, its the same principle.

The asbo has a nice long intake from the filter to the turbo, so i would install the pre turbo nozzle as far back as you can as this pipe gets hot as it goes around the engine on its route to the turbo.

The post ic i would install just at the exit of the ic.

On this subject have you upgraded the stock ic yet as it pretty poor and loses so much on anything above stock power.

In fact have you upgraded anything else on the engine yet?

If you are running stock, try a do1 or do2 nozzle pre turbo and a do3 or 4 post ic to get you started.

Space is tight under the hood, so are you planning on tapping into the small washer bottle or are you going to install it in the trunk/ boot?

yeah... the intercooler has been upgraded as i agree the stock i/c is beyond pathetic.

looking to tap into the washer bottle in the engine bay to be the reservoir.

although wanna mount the pump in such a way that it is hidden... dunno where would be best?

believe the post intercooler position is a difficult position as the bumper needs to come off to change the nozzle... just hoping it'd be as easy as mine and easily accessible

Damn the washer bottle is way too small, unless you are going to be running it on low setttings so that its hardly on? Mount the pump and fluid container in the boot/trunk.

It is tight for space, but with a friend it takes only 5 mins to pull the bumper of, which you would only need to do once maybe twice to find which nozzle suits you.

Good you already uprated the puny stock ic, dont know what ford was thinking when they stuck that on to a car like this.

Hope you can post some pics of the install on your car and i bet its an orange one.

Cheers
