Hello, I'm a newbie on this... I have read through most of the FAQ and a lot of the forum threads I thought would be applicable, but it's hard to find a comparison to my car to see what kind of setup I need to buy. I know I'm overly cautious, but I want to make sure a universal progressive kit is all I need before I buy one. My car is a 3.2L V6 supercharged at around 8psi. I have an upgraded pulley but I plan on upgrading it again. Last time I upgraded my water temperature went way up and I have a feeling the supercharger temperature did as well. The water from my radiator is also shared with my intercooler radiator, so if one heats up so does the other, and I haven't attempted tackling the project of water system seperation and not sure if I will. This is why I think water/methanol injection is the way to go. Any advice on the kit and/or nozzle size(s) I should get? Thanks! Rasoul |

Thanks for the response. I actually saw that thread... He's got the 4-cylinder kompressor, right at 200hp or so. I've got the 6-cylinder kompressor AMG right over 400hp. It's kind of not really comparable as far as a specific application goes, especially differences such as he's got a MAF and I've got a MAP, and my supercharger outputs a bit more boost. And his post just said "base" kit but didn't get into what size nozzles and other technical specifics. I was also hoping to get a progressive kit as well. Any additional insight? Thanks in advance! I'm really hoping to get this kit soon, like yesterday. |

Ok, a more specific question. Depending on my boost, the nozzle calculator says I need anywhere between 3gph and 4.5gph... the universal kit comes with 3 and 7 and 12 gph nozzles. Should I overshoot or undershoot on the calculation? Like... should the 3gph nozzle work or will a 5gph nozzle work better so I should order that at the same time? OR will the 7gph nozzle work just fine and I should just get the kit and not worry about it? Thanks! Last edited by rasoul; 06-18-2007 at 11:46 PM. |

the kits come with a few different size nozzles, id start with a 7 and work your way up.. seeing how you already have 400 HP the progessive setup with MAP sensor works awesome... you will be very happy.. operates nice and smooth.... |

Awesome, thanks. I totally would have just put a 3 on it and not have gotten everything out of it if it weren't for your input. Can't wait to get this thing on.

With all alcohol water injection kits there is going to be some tuneing needed. Even when it comes to nozzle sizes. I would guess your going to want a m7 nozzle. Mabe even a m10 nozzle.

One of my next car purchases will be a wide-band A/F gauge/sensor set. Once I get everything set up I'll probably just rent out a dyno for a few hours and try different settings.
