| Water Injection Newb Year: 2003 Make: Dodge Model: SRT-4 | Well today I got my DevilsOwn basic kit and though I hit every snag in the install, in the end, I'm running 28 psi and 0 KR on nothing but water. Basically everything that could go wrong did go wrong. First thing I did was put the nozzle in the wrong way, then I put the washer on the wrong side, then I wired things incorrectly, blew my cold-side pipe off because I didn't have it clamped down well enough. In the end, though, things were good. I think DevilsOwn needs to update their install instructed. There are many things that aren't clear and quite a few mistakes along the way, including the wiring synopsis. Next to that, though, I'm impressed with the kit. I can actually run the car to hell and back and the intake manifold and throttle body are as cold as ice; it's quite nice. Btw, I'm running AGP's DBB .50 trim turbo, AGP's race fmic, AGP return line, RC750 injectors, ported intake manifold and ported throttle body, JMB hardpipe kit, HKS BOV, DCR ported race head, Crane 16 cams and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. My best time prior to the injection was 11.2 @ 122 with 110 octane @ 27 psi on drag radials. I'm hoping to hit 11 flat with the alcohol kit before the crappy weather hits. |

There's a definite seat-of-the-pants different, and that can be attributed to the increased timing that my ECU is commanding because of the cooler IATs and total removal of KR. I have it set to spray at 10 psi, and when I hit 10 psi, the car just screams up to 24 psi and pulles like mad. I just wish I had more RPM to enjoy more of the boost!
