05' Dodge Ram CTD 3500 Wire Question

Howdy All, first post

Okay, I have a PCS controlled valve body. I have a few wires still to hook up and one being for the tachometer. Does anybody know what color this wire is? I believe it's located on the left side of the motor in the first plug at the ECM. And does this wire remain the same color as it comes in through the firewall up to the tach in my dash? I would rather tap into this tach wire under the dash vs running a wire out through the firewall to make this connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks All!................................JP

Which controller are you trying to hook up, and is that wire your wanting to use a 0v to 5v wire, most tack output wires are not.

PCS's TCM 2000 Controller. It's not a normal tach that sits on the dash, part of the computer.

Re: 05' Dodge Ram CTD 3500 Wire Question

Not much tech info on the site. But this is what the manual says for outputs, I don't see anything for a 0v-5v.

Pulsewidth Modulated (PWM) Drivers
• 6 x 3.5 amp programmable active high or low drivers
• 3 drivers programmable for Digital or PWM
• Stepper motor programmable
• Short circuit protection
• Over current protection
• Thermal shutdown
• Fully programmable frequency and duty cycle
• Built-in failure diagnostics
Digital Drivers
• 6 x 3.5 amp programmable active high or low drivers
• 3 drivers programmable for Digital or PWM
• Stepper motor programmable
• Short circuit protection
• Over current protection
• Thermal shutdown
• Built-in failure diagnostics
Speed Output
• 1 pc programmable frequency output
• 1 driver usable as frequency output for high power speedometers
• Short circuit protection
• 20mA current limit
• +/- 10 volt output
• Compatible as a speedometer drive or speed sensor replacement
