This is a discussion on "MAP wiring" within the Diesel Engines forums. This forum, and the thread "MAP wiring "are both part of the Engine Specific category;
I'm setting up a universal progressive diesel system on my 91 7.3L F350. As you know these trucks don't have a MAP I'm adding a 2 bar sensor. What I need to know is how to wire it up. I know that the grey wire is used to provide 5v to the MAP & the green wire gives signal back to the controller but which terminals do they go to on the MAP. The 3 pins on the MAP are marked C B & A. What goes where??
dvldoc, Just had a thought, you've never had any trouble with the controller or wiring handling the current draw of the pump? I would have thought you'd need to use a relay & use the blue wire to switch it, particully if you had the solenoid in the circuit as well.
