Default Progressive controller: EGT probe

Would there be a problem hooking up the 3bar Controller to an 5v EGT probe? I am thinking about changing my system from working on boost to coming on at a specific EGT and increasing until max.

I understand that the numbers on the controller will not mean anything, and I will have to set this with trail and error... but when my truck is at max boost (32 psi) the EGT's are quite low because of the large amount of air being moved thru the system. Where my EGT's are highest seems to be around 10-15psi with the engine over 70% load... I like the water methanol for controlling the EGT's, but the system wont even start until 10 PSI... and sometimes I can be running 1300 degree EGT's if I have the trailer hooked up at that boost level.

Thanks.

yes, you can hook it up to a egt as long as its 5v, I can get you cases that read in voltage instead of the psi.

Sounds like your sensor has a different voltage scale, If you switched to a standard GM 3bar sensor the system would come on as low as 2psi (1.8v). Alot of the higher reading sensors lower ranges are microvoltage lest than a volts, which the controller will not activate until 1.8v on a 3 bar set up.
