I have a Devils own pump, boost operated (6psi) on my Volvo D24 (2.4 6 cylinder IDI turbo diesel - max boost is 16psi). Currently I'm running a 1gph, but just ordered a 3gph nozzle.

I mainly run water injection as an engine cleaner, and to prevent ring gumming while running my high mileage diesel on veg oil, but it's also helpful with the higher boost levels (which I plan to up further).

What I was wondering was, how long can you safely run the WI pump for? We're planning a trip in a couple of weeks which is about 250 miles each way. Sat on the motorway at speed, being a heavy diesel the boost is constantly around 5-7psi. Is it a problem running the pump constantly for the whole trip? It will do the engine some good as it doesn't really get a lot of water injected as there is too much traffic round here, but just wondered about the pump?

Hi Guys!

I got my Stage 1 Devils Own Dual Nozzle upgraded pump kit installed and was wondering what size nozzles I should run with my mods. Built Trans, lift pumps and efi live tuning. Right now I have the bigger nozzle #14 placed after the smaller one #05. I have it coming on at about 15psi of boost but don't know if it should be set higher or lower. I want mpg's and cooler egt's not power. Thinking I might just want to run pure distilled water with no methanol.

Are my nozzles the correct size and my boost set right?

I need some advice on picking nozzles, I have a 1986 Accord, A20 engine, I'm going to be shaving the head 2mm and raising the compression even more with different pistons, I estimate about 13-1, main modifications are custom intake manifold with 2 SU carburetors, colt stage 2 cam, full mandrel bent exhaust, all the way to the back, MSD 6T ignition with GM blaster coil, the issue I have is the way the manifold is designed, the intake runners are a reverse Y, with one carb feeding two cylinders, I have the option of running 2 nozzles, one at the junction before each manifold split, or running 4 DO075 nozzles one in each runner, the main reason for running the system, is premium gas isnt always available here, this would let me run on 87 if I had to, even with the high compression, I want to go ahead and tig weld on the fitting for each nozzle, while the manifold is out, and before I coat it. they are just 1/8 NPT so I can just stick pipe thread plug in each for the moment. I plan to trigger the system with an RPM switch, I'm thinking about 4500 rpm, even at high speed, i usually stay below 4000 in cruise conditions, this would maek the system active under acceleration, I also plan to install an aftermarket knock detection system, since my car doesn't have a computer

Hi guys

I'm geting ready to instal my kit. Gona be using the new stainless nozzles. Considering that these throw out the liquid at higher velocities, would there be any benefit in aming them in the same direction as the airflow.
I'm thinking at 45 degrees instead of just being perpendicular to the pipe wall.

Thanks in advance.

i want to run the system constantly. From 0 psi to 14 psi my car runs from deep vac offboost 700mmhg to .7 bar
stock idle is 500mmhg and 14.8 a/f ratio. Do I still need a ems ? And tune? Or can I adjust myself with ecutalk and run a fail safe?

Hi guys.

(I should have put this in engine specific forum, miss it!)

I've been looking into different setups, and only found a few indications to nozzle sizes and requirements. I'm running a 10.1 compression ratio, and current hitting 1.2bar on the rev limit when it's at it's peak of 7k, pushing 417hp.

I'm just sorting an EGT sensor but I know for sure 1bar is the most that's recommended on stock compression.

I'm hoping to install a nozzle per cylinder (3.0 inline 6) and wanted some advice on nozzle size. I've looked at the calculator, and not actually found one that's meth-newbie friendly.

I've spent the past two years working my engine, and to explore something new and ask newb questions once again makes me feel a bit retarded so apologies for another repeat of the same question. I've titled the thread car related, as no one else seems to consider this in their own threads. Thought it may help others.
