| I own a long travel dune buggy with a 3.5L Turbo charged Honda. I run 5-6 pounds of boost and have been looking to get away from mixing race fuel to prevent detonation in the motor. The install was very easy and simple, the pump mounted under the rear passenger seat, with the reservoir on the frame ahead of the wing trunk. A single injector mounts on the intake tube after the turbo. A SINGLE wire runs to the the front of the car where the map sensor tee's into the boost Gage line and the controller mounts on the dash. That's it! The reason for replacement parts is that when I tested my installation, I simulated boost with a hand pump, the pump didn't come on until 12 psi even though I had the unit set up to come on at 2 psi, looks like a bad controller unit. Devils Own has a replacement on the way. Plugged in the new controller this weekend, and it tested good. Mixed up a batch of 50% alcohol and water and ran the car hard. All I can say is this engine on the boost LOVES the alcohol injection. Just seat of the pants, but the engine pulls harder than before at the same level of boost. All in all I'm pretty happy with the system. |
