Nozzle mounting Carburetor Application

I mounted the nozzle in the air cleaner housing spraying towards the carb.- I have not tried it out yet on the engine was wondering what you guys think? I'am hoping it doesn't soak the air cleaner when the engine is running has anyone tried this before?

Mopar 440 10.3:1 cr, Mopar Stage 6 heads, Mopar 484 solid cam-Holley dominator intake and 870 Carb.
Spark knocks with full timing under load-WOT(bad) M7 nozzle installed

You should have enough room if you have the flow, but you can always go up top with it, and spray at the carb.

Re: Nozzle mounting Carburetor Application

I'm pretty sure that set up with a M7 is going to soak that filter, The pressure is pretty high on the nozzles. That looks like a alkycontrol set up. I would use a carbspacer and one of our nozzles for a cleaner install. And without the worry of the filter. Because the methanol will rust out filters with any metal parts in them such as the wire mesh and you don't want that crap down your engine.

You can make a few runs with it and see if it gets wet or not, It all depends on how much flow you have and how smooth the flow is.

I am unsure of how much will be draw in I'll try it and see- Thank You

Can I just tap a carb spacer for 1/8 pipe and install a nozzle in it?

Yes 1/8npt tap and a carb spacer would be the best way to go with one of our outside mount nozzles so you dont have additional hardware like the nozzle holder hanging under the carb blocking airflow.

Re: Nozzle mounting Carburetor Application

I changed the setup the orginal way soaked the filter and wasted the fluid. Here are some pic of my new set up using a spectre intake I bought off ebay and a 3" pvc cap. Works great draws it all in and stopped my spark knock! I set it up with a nitrous switch and a M7 noozle. Other part are mismatched from snow and devils own.

Re: Nozzle mounting Carburetor Application

wtf???

all that will do is fill the part of the intake where the jet is mounted with fluid. the jet must be in the airflow. if its out of the airflow fluid will just form a puddle.
imho fit a single intake and fit the jet just after the air filter.

Re: Nozzle mounting Carburetor Application

You would have just been better off with a single filter set up like that and mount the nozzle after the filter. You can still add a filter and put the nozzle after it.

Just as said above needs to be in the path of airflow. Or simply mount the nozzle in the middle of the two sections and put a filter on the other end.
