Devils Own, I have a NA 3.0 Mazda 6 and have ordered the Universal Stage 2 kit with the MAF sensor through Speedware Motorsports. What nozzle should I be using to max out the benifit to my car, ie. more power? The calculator says 1.93 gph for 7k RPM, 3.0L. Is that a general rull of thumb for stock cars? Does it hold true for modified NA cars as well? Also, what is the best placement of the nozzle go in the intake? I know it should be after the MAF sensor as not to damage it. ![]() I have the following items that might be relevant to the question I have. 1) High output sniper Coil on Plug 2) MSD Stacker 8 3) 3" CP-E CAI 4) Lightened and underdriven pulleys 5) Unichip tuning system for Air, Fuel, and Timing 6) Voltage Stabilizers 7) MSDS Headers 8) HKS Catback 9) 10:1 compression ratio .... I have other items as well but I dont think they directly apply to this question. We are going to dyno tune it after it is added to the car! I just want to get the best performance out of this kit. ![]() Any help is great! Thanks Matt Last edited by rosem32; 08-27-2008 at 02:32 PM. Reason: comp ratio |

You should run the D01 nozzle with your set up, It will put you closes to that range, And with that small of a nozzle I would just run strait alcohol for the best gains. Just place the nozzle anywere after the MAF try at least 3 inches from the MAF. If you have a spot you can tap on your TB that will work as well as on the intake just after the TB. With the Unichip you should see a nice gain, But don't expect more than 10%. |

Thanks for the quick reply. I would be very happy with 10%! Do you recommend any particular brand of alcohol or should I just just add straight alcohol to the devils own brew? Thanks Again Matt |

You can use any type of alcohol but Methanol is the best due to it's higher 02content and better cooling plus lower viscocity. You will need to scan your vehicle to check your A/F ratio 100% is not for everyone you might run to rich. Even with 50/50 your octane with 92 octane in your fuel tank will jump to around 104. Letting you run that increased timing with no power loss from detonation or low quality fuel.

Great, we have tweaked the Air, Fuel, and Timing for everything else on the car already. I got to try 100 octane and the car noticably picked up power. I cant wait for an actual tune with the kit. I will send you the results. Matt |

Devils Own, So we have the MAF kit installed and used the Devils brew. We were on they dyno and did not see an increase in richness while it was spraying so we didn't change the timing. Should we see that change while spraying the Devils Brew? If so, should I change the nozzle from the DO2 to the next step up so we can actually register a change in the Air/Fuel Ratio? What should we expect with tuning? Also, is there anything I can add to the Devils Brew to increase the Methanol to Water ratio? Also, Do I need to be running a smaller gap in my spark plugs now? I have the Sniper Tuning Coils, MSD Stacker 8, and NGK Ir plugs. Thanks! I would like to get this planned out before I hit my tuners shop again! Matt Last edited by rosem32; 09-30-2008 at 06:38 PM. |
