| This is my first post here, so go easy. I have some questions on nozzle sizing and methanol. I have a heads up turbo drag car, it has a 355 chevy without a intercooler and has a blowthrough carb. I estimate it to have around 1000 hp. I am wanting to install a injection system to maximize cooling of the intake charge and hopefully gain some perfomance. I always run good race gas. I think I would most likely want to use 100% methanol for max performance. My questions are. 1 What level of performance is calulated when using the calulator? 2 Does the nozzle size change when using different ratios of methanol. Going by the calulator it looks like I need to use 2 m15 nozzles. Thanks Dave |

What octane fuel are you running? If you are running race gas already and no FNIC I think a 50/50 mix of w/m may provide you with better benifits. I would do some test passes with dirrerent mixes to see what works best. To figure my nozzle size I took the duty cycle of my injectors and calculated it out to figure out my gph of fuel consumed at WOT. Then I took 15% of that and 25% of that and I plan to test both when I finish building my motor. |

I run 114 most of the time. I am wanting to get the most cooling from the injection more than anything, as I am not running an intercooler. I am using a carburator.
