Re: Pump cycling

The pill should have a straight slit on one side and the other side kind of looks like a X with the ends bent on it at a angle. You can try swaping them out. But looks like manufacture flaw. Those are covered by our warranty (free replacement)

Re: Pump cycling

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. I took out both pills and can immediately see a difference.

The pill with the two slits is from the offending nozzle. I've swapped them over to see if the fault follows the pill though I won't have time to test it yet.

Re: Pump cycling

Swapping the bad pill over to the DO3 doesn't affect the spray pattern (that I can tell), it certainly doesn't cause drips to accumulate.

Re: Pump cycling

Feel like I'm talking to myself here but what pressure can the (DO) nozzle threads withstand if threaded into hard plastic or rubber hose? I'd hate to have one pop out under force.

Re: Pump cycling

The inserts for the nozzles are different sizes, They are not really meant to be switched around but should not cause to much change in the performance as long as they are good. So is the DO1 working with the DO3 pill?

The threads are NPT and can take well over 1000psi if screwed in properly. NPT are designed to lock in place. These are much stronger than aluminum nitrous jet holders.

Re: Pump cycling

You live and learn, eh? I can confirm both nozzles work fine now as far as I can tell. I put the pills side by side and they looked identical otherwise I wouldn't have swapped them over. What difference should I expect?

I haven't decided on nozzle location yet but one will definately be fitted to a hard plastic ducting. I have a choice of materials for the main nozzle - aluminium, hard plastic or soft rubber.

Re: Pump cycling

You should not really see or be able to measure a difference in output of the nozzles.

I would go with the metal surface mount, This makes changing the nozzles or cleaning the filter much easier.
