I am working in the oilfields in Colorado. I have a 1997 dodge diesel. I am looking for a water/meth kit to install. I pull a trailer with a bobcat on it and want more reliable power. I have all the methanol I can use, so thats what im going to do. I have looked at the snow system stage 2 and am looking for more options. Thank you, Rob T.

You should start off comparing the kits parts for part, same pump except we use 100% methanol compatible seals (won't be a factor on a diesel) you can't go more than 50% on it anyways, Same fittings with the same specs, Better nozzle holder, check valve included, More advanced controller and about 25% less in price. You'll get the same horsepower for less, And with what you use your vehicle a dual nozzle set up is probably what your going to want to go with and are larger pump which will still be cheaper than a snow kit. |

Thank you for your fast reply. I wish you and your family the best while on your deployment. Is there a kit for the Cummins yet, I read in other posts that one was in the making. Thank you, Rob T.

I am going with your diesel progressive kit. Do you have a install video or anything that I can look at. What does the controller read to adjust the flow rates, and how do you figure out the best or closest nozzle size for the dual setup. I did not see a price for the dual setup on your site, I may have just missed it. |

yes it can because you produce less boost, around 1psi less for every 1000 feet over sea level I believe. At 8000 feet a single M12 nozzle should be all you need on a close to stock truck. The controller reads the 5v signal from your map sensor to adjust flow based on boost. The kit comes with directions and you can download them from the store site. The directions are pretty much universal because every vehicle is different. The kit is simple enough for just about anyone to hook up. |

i have also found that running straight water on the diesel works best.. The last setup with the " big turbos" we used 2 nozzles w/ just water Meth is isnt a good idea on a diesel engine unless you like changing headgaskets how much boost are you running. Are you wanting to run meth to make horsepower? Or do you want to just increase the boost and use water in to lower your EGTS ? |
