I have a kit coming in for testing on Friday. Just saying hi... Test car is a Mazda miata w/ 342 rwhp...Eaton M62 at 21 psi w/ straight water injection. I will try methanol injection to see if results are any better. Without the water, the blower gets too hot. Any advise or comments are welcome thx RJW |

| Thanks The system is running. Install was simple, in that I already had a shurflo pump mounted in the car. A little confusion with the map signal, but outside of that no problem I had been running water only prior to the install, so I have gone thru several tanks of water to test for leaks and will switch to a meth mixture soon History" I have been spinning an MP62 at 21k for 2 years. 21 psi w/ water Actual boost was 18 psi, but the blower would get too hot, so with water, it was happy, nt to mention sealing the rotors added 3 psi. Unfortunately, the blower rotors have lost a lot of coating and I now have a kind of whirring sound coming from the blower and max boost even with water is down to about 18.5 psi. I guess I'll have to do a rebuild or whatever. In any case, thanks for the welcome. |

| Thanks.. This car was actually the first coldside mounted MP62 in a Miata. The intakre manifold and all bracketry as designed and machined by me. Since then, several others have brought this type of setup to market, but no one has come close to the power level of this car with the same blower. I loaned the car to a friend and while it returned needing a lot of work, at least the blueprinted engine survived. I designed my own water injection using a fuel injector and my stand alone ecu. It worked extremely well, but none of it was methanol compatible. So I got the universal progessive kit from this site and will be turning up the meth shortly. I really only need it pre-blower and just to cool the blower down at 21 PSI. I have low compression and knock has never been an issue even with very aggressive timing all across the board. I'll post some results at a later date..at the moment I am replacing the blower, cleaning up the engine compartment and also working on 2 sc'd vettes...so I am a bit busy later |
