Can spraying meth/water into twin screw supercharger increase boost?

Can spraying meth/water into twin screw supercharger increase boost? My friend said it is normal to see .5 to 1psi more boost when you use water injection sprayed into a twin screw or roots supercharger.

Is this correct?

Yes this is correct, the vaporizing methanol and water creat a tighter seal and give you more boost. It's pretty common to see .5psi to 1.5psi increase on a V6 and V8 application.

wow that is great. The same guy that mentioned the psi boost said that he did not see any tempurature drop on his supercharged crossfire when he sprays, he said since it sprays into the throttle body, into the supercharger and then through the intercooler core that the water in the intercooler core warms the air back up. he said he only sees around a 10 to 15 degree temp drop. does that sound right to you? if that is the case, would alcohol injection still benefit my car? would the increase in octane an psi be enough for me to see a performance increase?

thanks again for all the help.

Unless he has a thermocoupler mounted after the supercharger outlet I don't see how it's getting measured. If your measuring air temps pre-supercharger you need to put it before the IAT sensor. To measure after the blower you need a thermocoupler mounted there, you talking outlet temps well above 800F at full boost.

Nozzle size and mix will also determine the temp drop you get as well. I'm not sure how quick or how the Crossfires IAT is mounted directly in the airflow like GM sensors.
