Has any one here installed a kit on a Miata with the Jackson Racing Supercharger? I was just wondering if it has been done and what results were achieved with this heat soak plagued setup.

I noticed that one of the 1.8l Miatas had the nozzle placed on the intake tube downstream from the supercharger and just before the dummy throttle body. Is this a good place for it. or should I put it upstream from the supercharger and just after the MAF? I keep hearing opposing reccommendations.

Depends on what you want, If you want your blower to around a 1/2 to 1psi more boost then do it pre blower. If that is not a concern then put it post blower the cooling is a little less pre blower because the alcohol is taking away heat from it. But you will see less than a 20 degree difference in temps before it hits the intake. I always go pre blower, it also spools up quicker when you do it this way. |
