I am wanting to get some more power from my boat motor and I have heard some good things about Meth. I have a 509 ci BBC 8.5:1 compression, with a V4-J Vortech and a tube water intercooler. I run at around 9 psi @ 5k ft. My timing is locked out at 32*. I run all this on 91 octane with zero problems but I would like a few more MPH. It is a strong, completely built motor. What kind of kit would work best for me and where would I get it? Also is tuning very difficult? And what kind of gains would be achievable? Thanks for any help or advice. |

For a boat application do to the elements exposer I would go with the Base kit with Dual nozzles M14 and M5. Our 2.5 gallon or 6 gallon tank would also be a good choice for you as well. Most of our V8 costomers pick up on average 30hp to the wheels without even turning up the boost. For you I guess to the prop LOL. You will get max timing all the time, i'm not sure how much more you can get out of the motor 32* is a crap ton. You will definetly gain some mph, It's not the first boat running our kit. You can just order everything from the store. www.alcohol-injection.com and goto the kit section. |
