the pumps bilal and a few other GTPs use are either the 100psi(older versions) or the 150psi(newer versions). i belive the 60psi isnt pumping at a high enough pressure to compensate the blowers instant boost. im prolly wrong in some points-rocket or bilal or somebody well correct me lol. im curently using the 100psi pump with a m5 nozzle. i'd say its best to get the newer one-150psi. did i mention the brand shurflo? lol

I'm running the M7 nozzle with a 3.0 at the moment. I just did a scan on the car with 3 pulls. I only have knock at the 2-3 shift for less than .5sec. I have plenty of room to tune b/c my injectors are far from being maxed out. I'm gonna try the 2.8 tomorrow and see where the car stands. That is on the 60psi pump. Rocket...thanks for the tip!!! I'm going to the track next week. I'll give you guys some new times to post. I'm a non-IC car with some mods. I'll list everything next week when I get the times. |

If you have a older pump that is not one of our 150psi pumps you can simply add a small washer about the size of a dime and twice the thickness under the spring in the pressure switch, It gives you about 25-30 psi more for about 5 cents. This does not need to be done with the 150psi pumps because they have the larger spring which is really the only thing that makes these pumps the different pressures. There are still other modifications to our newer pumps. But this is something you can do. |
