Hey all, Was just wondering what type of setup would work on my camaro. Car has a V-1 S-trim on it, and about 8.5 psi or so. Already has a 2 bar sensor that works with the timing box for boost referenced timing retard (and it's also logged by my LM-1 WBO2) heres the calculator info: ================ Inputs ================ RPM 6500 Boost 8.5 Liters 6.6 ================ Injector ================ 15.31 gph of fluid flow needed @ 100 psi ================ Other Info ================ CFM 1016 BTU 2204 I don't know what nozzle would be recommended, and I was curious if I should spend the extra $ for the progressive system or not. I drive this car plenty on the street - it did power tour last year and will be again this year! Also like to thrash on it, street and track. So I am looking for driveability - if the standard system will dump too much at low boost, then I should get the progressive system? |

i perfer the Progressive Controller... the Devils Own system is a stand alone setup.. the controller will provide the map sensor with the 5v ref, ground etc... works great ! |

Yea, map sensors are 5v items in an older car as your self you don't have 5v anywhere to rob. Lucky our controller has a 5v output wire. I think we are the only company that does this.

My ignition box is equipped to be wired directly to that MAP sensor, it has its own 5V source and all, uses the MAP for boost retard (user adjustable of course). Can I simply tap off the MAP signal in the car and run the wire to the controller - or does the controller really need to have the ground hooked up, etc., for it to work properly? |

I've actually decided to go with a standard system from you guys. SInce I'm only running 8 psi boost, I'll turn it on at 4 psi and roll with it. I spent the extra $ on a pressure detection on there to sense 80, or 90 psi to verify the pump is running, has water, lines are not severed, etc. That will be wired to my timing retard - no pressure =timing retard of probably 12 degrees or so. Just trying to play it safe. ![]() I'm looking forward to trying this stuff out>!!! |
