Default 04's L32 motor

[align=left:f6c1b51080][/align:f6c1b51080]Have some questions about the Devils alcohol kit.

1st: Will it work on the series III motor.
2nd: Will the throttle body spacer work on the Series III motor with the Drive-by-wire throttle body, and if not, where is the best way to properly inject on the L32 motor.
3rd: anything else i should know about the L32 and alcohol.

Don't you guys have MAFs seperate from the TB? If so you can put it in the "f-duct" area between the MAF and TB without worrying about the spacer.

Yes, the throttle body is seperate from the MAF sensor. So just somewhat tap into the rubberized F-Duct.

Yes it works on 04 grand prixs just fine, The controller works off of the MAP sensor reading. I'm actually working on 04 TB spacers now, but they are not needed you can just tap the bottom or side of the throttle body and it will work perfect or in the ducting. Tapping into the throttle body would be more ideal.

So are you developing the 04 TB Spacer based on the ZZP one I posted about on clubgp? If so that kicks ass ;)

I had asked about mounting the nozzle in the intake tube before (on clubgp) but didnt get an answer.... But the gist of it was... I was trying to find out if the CAI tubing would be sturdy enough to hold the nozzle properly...

Has anyone tried to mount it in the flimsy intake tube yet? Curious as to how well it will hold up under the summer heat when the rubber gets super soft under the hood.

I would rather use a TB spacer though since it is a bolt-on solution that can easily be removed w/o a trace for dealer visits...

Gawd... Imagine a stock 04/05 with KR and slapping this puppy on there... I can see how that would cause the modding bug to bite HARD ;)

So DVLDOC, all i need is the GTP stage 1 kit for 260$ right. Is that with a fluid bottle or use of Washer fluid bottle?

Also yea let me know when the TB spacer is coming out and how much u think it will run. So i can plan correctly, and not tap my TB and you come out with the spacer the next day.

Also what pulley do u think i can run. 3.0, 3.2 or 3.4: With, Thrasher intake, Intense PCM, possibly 1.9 rockers and LS6 Springs, those are iffeys. Ported manifolds are to follow soon as well.

Right now i am seeing a consistant 8.5 to 9 psi and on cold days it nudges almost 10 psi on a stock pulley at the top of the rpm band.

The reason i say iffy is tring to decide, rockers or LS1M monitor.

Stage 1 will work perfect, My kits are designed for you to tap the stock washer fluid bottle which gives you a 1.5 gallon capacity with a low fluid warning light. With a 04 I would go with a 3.2 pulley until you get somemore exhuast mods, this with a FWI will get you into the low 13's easy.

If you had a PVC or ABS FWI you could mount the nozzle pretty easy and it would be sturdy just tap it with a 11/32 drill bit and run a 1/8"NPT tap through it.

ok, so should i buy you kit or buy the LS1M and monitor stuff first, then buy your kit, or just go ahead and get your kit and then buy the LS1M later?

Low 13's really, i was only thinking low 14's or so?
I plan on doing exhaust manifolds on down the road.

You get a PCM and you'll hit low 13's or at least 13.5.

The thing about the 04 compared to the 97-03 cars is it's like having a Stage 4 ported blower, LS1 TB, no U-bend, and lighter weight rods right from the factory. So it will get better times with less mods with a aftermarket PCM. The alcohol makes difference you can feel.

The biggest killer for the 04's is the PCM it's TQ Management kills your performance.

WOW, so the 04's come from the factory with all that stuff on it already. Learn new stuff everyday. Thanks.
