I own a 1992 bonneville ssei. Every time i get into it and it goes above the mid boost line it falls flat on its face, like it is getting no fuel. I have replaced the fuel pump, filter and checked vacuum lines. Reaaly have trouble when having to climb long hills, motor really heats up. Any Ideas? Thanks, Troy |

Did you ever scan it to see if you getting any knock, This can cause the car to loose major power. On quick and easy way to see if detonation is your issue is let you gas tank get down unti the low fuel light is one and add 2 gallons of xylene to the tank. This will get you at about 104 octane if you have 4 gallons of 92 in the tank left. If the car still feels dead then it's something besides detonation that is the issue. Things like fouled plugs, bad wires, weak coils can all cause this as well as a host of electronics like a bad O2 sensor. |
