Default alky tuning help

i have been working on this quite abit with minimal progress, if anyone could answer these ?'s i would appreciate it.

1.about how many psi on the pump are you guys running for a 3.2 or 3.0 pulley, i had about 80 for my 3.2 and put it to 90 for my 3.0. i wasnt seeing any kr with the 3.2, but when i slapped the 3.0 on i was seeing 5-6 kr.

2. will running too many psi on the pump cause KR, besides the fact that it bogs down the engine if its turned too high?

3. besides getting a gauge is there a way to know exactly how many psi your pump is running, if you turn it all the way down would it hit a bottom setting, like any certain psi?
Thanks
Nick

Around 100 psi is normally what it takes to support the 3.0 pulley on lightly modded cars. You might want to play with your turn on points. You don't physicaly have to touch the pump if use the controller. If you want less psi at WOT just turn the full point past how much boost you make. It sounds like your full is set to low. It doesn't take much for alcohol to overcome the heat of a 3.0 pulley.

So play with the start and full points first, then try turning up the pump a bit more if your seeing KR. If you get bogging then you'll know you went to far.

Hopefully you have a downpipe, because I wouldn't go down to a 3.0 without one.

Well your mods are pretty much the same as me. I would't waste time with the 3.0 pulley. I have a 2.8 and it keeps me running 12's all day long at the track. I don't even have the pump turn up that high just 110psi. And 940 02's. but with your mods you shouldn't need that much. Also to much methanol can cause KR.

Sometimes less is better. I've been using 0 degree washer fluid with is arond 30% methanol since the car is tuned so well.

ya i had it turned up to high and it was causing kr, now everytime i get in my car i turn the full point up a bit and make sure i still have no KR, the car keeps getting a little quicker at a time so ill keep adjusting till i see a blip of kr then turn it down a fraction just to cover that , so im not spraying too much again. my 02's are around 955-965 at WOT right now so ill have to tune then down too a little,

DVLDOC you said your mods are similiar, what do you have that you can run conistant 12's

also since my install i have dropped boost, i was seeing 11 on my 3.2 and 13 on my 3.0 now i see 11.5 on my 3.0, i checked for leaks, could it be that i was missing that one hole in the spacer, and i kinda did a hack job drilling that hole myself???
Thanks
Nick

Mods are
Home ported blower and 98 TB with the center post removed.
LS6 MAF
Mini-AFC
2.8 Pulley
Custom DHP/adjustible timing (added after 12's)
42lbs injectors (was running 12's before these) needed for the 150 nitrous shot
4" FWI
3000 stall
alcohol kit of course. Was running 12's on a plain boost switch back then.

The two biggest gains that got me down from 13.10' on race gas to 12.80's was the 4" FWI and the alcohol kit and I gained 4 MPH.

Oh yeah MT/ET Drags 1.7 60 ft times really help out which I had to sell a few months back because I can't use them with the F-body brakes.
