After doing the wiring fix (only needed on the first batch of controllers), I called up my friend Don (has a 95 Mustang 5.0- runs 13.7ish). I turned the on and full points all the way up (so the kit wouldn't turn on), and we did a 40-100 roll and he was pulling on me slightly. we took an exit and i turned the controller to start at 4psi and go max at 8psi. my pump is set at what it came set at(60psi i think). we got on the highway going the other way (same road conditions, etc.). and did a 40-100 roll. now i was pulling on him a little better than he was on the previous run. this is with a 3.25 pulley, -20 washer fluid and 93 octane gas. I was seeing ~5* of KR without the alcohol, and 0* with it. If anyone wants to know my opinion of alcohol injection, it works and it works damn well. I figure from what i saw on those two runs that i would be at least a few tenths faster in the 1/4 if all other conditions were the same. |
