My injection started to act up today and was wondering if you think it is the pressure switch. Normally the switch activates the injection at 10PSI but today it came on way early (2psi) and would not shut off. I checked all of the connections and they seemed ok. With the car switched off I toggled the presure switch a few times and it seemed ok. When I keyed the power back on the pump kicked on. I messed with it a little more and got the original condition...it came on real early and would not shut off....Does this sound like a bad switch?

Re: Bad pressure switch??

I doubt it is the switch if it is comming on early and staying on, It sound like your grounding out somewere. Check the negative wire to be sure non of the insulation is stripped off anywere and grounding. If those switches were to have a failure it should only be failure to move the switch to the closed circuit position. I don't think we had but maybe one switch returned in 2 years. It's a good ideal to loom your wire in case you have not to keep them protected.

Anouther thing is to check your hose going to the pressure switch, Make sure there are no obstructions in it. It it has say a chunk of carbon from the motor in it and it is causing a obstruction it will create a higher pressure, just like a nozzle does at the end of the hose making the switch open early because it sees the correct psi.

Re: Bad pressure switch??

Seems that it was the micro switch. I put an ohm tester on it and it was stuck "open". I cleaned everything and worked the switch for a while and it seems fine. I also checked the wires and they were perfect
