I have the alcohol kit and I ordered one of his spacers. From what I can tell, the threaded hole in the spacer is not the right size for the nozzle and adapters that come with the kit. What do i do to make this work? I thought since you guys kind of collaborated on this thing, the spacer would come ready to work with your kit.

We partially installed the kit today and had the same problem. We had to disassemble the "spray section" that goes into the spacer, place the nozzle in from the center of the TB, removed one of the "square sections", and screw on the male end into the outside of the spacer. It went in nicely, but I am a little disappointed on the total install of this thing. I had difficulty with the one 8mm bolt. The pump mounted where all the instructions state, behind driver headlight. But the flow of the pump was in a backward manner. What I mean was if you mount the pump as in the instructions, not Chris' "slowpoke" inside you have to bend the line real tight to get it to the spacer backward. I mounted it on the inside finally after having alot of difficulties. I have a 97 I mounted it where the coolant bottle used to go on the inside, next to the SLP box. I have not tackled the inside wiring yet, but I thought this was a more "plug and play" type of setup than it is. Looking forward to the results though. Steve Stockman |

How come I can install these with no problems? Check the post about flush mounting the nozzle. When I ship them I install the nozzles and fittings. But if you get one directly from Brian they will not be attached. The spacer are exactly the same and should work with the fittings you recieved if done correctly. Do it like this and you can't go wrong. http://www.devilsownonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=85 |

I'm not upset I'm just trying to show you guys how to mount these properly. Because when people start re drilling stuff it ruins the spacers then they say it was a bad spacer. or it's missing a hole. It's not. follow the direction in the tread posted above and you will have no issues mounting the nozzle. The thread tap is 1/8'" PTP on the spacers. The nozzle will thread into them perfectly. Remember to remove the guide pin or just hit it in with a hammer it serves no purpose. After I sell the last 2 spacers they will be discontinued because the cost and hassel with them is not worth it just for on type of vehicle when I'm making kits for over 10 types. Just sent out two kits with spacers this weekend all have the flush mounted nozzle installed. |

i re-drilled my spacer (but i already had all the tools needed and and drilled pieces out before) and let me tell you it's not fun. If you don't have a drill press it will be fun getting the hole started perfectly, and putting enough pressure behind a drill to go through the spacer will take a bit too even with sharp metal cutting bits.
