Default Buick 3800 Series 1

I have hear and read that methanol injection will damadge my SC. I just wondering if anyone has installed this kit on a Series 1 (L67) Buick 3800 with the M62 Blower, and what results.....I have this motor in my 85' Fiero GT and want to instal an methanol inj. kit. I am running a 2.2 pulley wich is supposed to create 10-11PSI of boost. Rumor has it that only the later versions 94-95 used coated SC rotors, mine is a 92' can anyone confirm this? Will a more concentrated mixure be more hurtfull to the coating? And do the kits come with the TB spacers??

Thanks for any Info!

I first got into WI when I supercharged my 2000 Jetta 2.0l engine. Neuspeed developed an aftermarket kit using the M45 charger. I used an Aquamist kit at the time, spraying either before the rotors or after and really could never tell the difference in performance. If you are worried about the rotors, just tap after the rotors when the air has been heated and compressed.

Here's a couple of pics. The first shows the nozzle location before the rotors and the second shows the location after the rotors. BTW, the after rotor location is close to the port where the compressed charge enters the runners.

I would imagine that spraying like what you have pictured would result in a greater concentration of methanol in the runners closer to the nozzle. This would get event harder to control on a 6cyl. unles multiple nozzles were used. I have seen someone try this on a 3800 with not so good results, just no good places in the intake for good distribution.

Thanks for the info anyways.

If the m62 is like the m90, then there is really no good place for a single nozzle. I think that if you put two nozzles in the LIM, you should be ok. Preblower may be a better help for improving the efficiency of the blower.
