check valve Issue

I have the basic setup fitted to my Supercharged 1.6 Miata. I am having issues at idle and off boost, the water is syphoning in. I do a lot of autotests and this involves quite a bit of queuing the intake has been filling with water and i have to rev it hard to blow it out.

Last week I drove to a track completely off boost and by the time I arrived my 10ltr tank was completely drained. Could it be possible my check valve is not strong enough or not functioning correctly?

What do you guys think?

Re: check valve Issue

your ckeck valve could be too weak or else stuck open. you may be able to clean it.

Re: check valve Issue

If there is a piece of debris caught in the ball of the checkvalve this can cause it not to close. The check valves can be opened up and cleaned out.

Re: check valve Issue

Yes its the Devils Own check valve.

If I take it apart and clean it out and the problem still exists then I guess the check valve is not man enough for the job. What can I do in this instance? Is there a valve with a higher break pressure?
